Submitting Content - Advertise On Wisepagan!

Article Guidelines:

An icon or picture and contributor name must be submitted with articles to appear on the main page. Note: Wisepagan.com prefers to have a real name, photo and contact information on file. This does not preclude you from writing under a pseudonym if you wish to remain anonymous. However, articles published under a pseudonym are generally the first to be considered for moving into the archives section. (Don't worry about shrinking your headshot or icon down to our size specifications... we'll do that for you.)

Articles MUST offer information or thoughtful insight into a particular topic. This is measured at the will of the editors. As much as we admire and respect witchvox.com, we are a different website and have different standards for our content like informative essays and op-eds. Articles will be denied placement for the following reasons: 1) The article is rife with errors (grammatical or factual) and has too many uncited or unverifiable statements that are not expressed as opinions. 2) The article has too much of an "angry" or confrontational tone. 3) The article strikes us as being contrary to our mission of improving the quality of dialogue in the Pagan online community. 4) The article is an obvious attempt to advertise another website or organization. 5) The article could be chalked up to what we call "typewritten mental masturbation" or is of little value to anyone except the author and his/her ego. 6) The article may be denied placement by the editors for any reason not already listed and may opt not to respond to the author's inquiry (although we do try to stay friendly and communicate with you whenever possible).

If you believe that an article does not meet our standards for quality or have another suggestion, please let us know!

Opinions on other articles which are not composed as any kind of complete article or thesis can be added/discussed in our message forum. Please remember to be kind, constructive and thoughtful there too!

Suggested Reading or Outside links (including one to your personal website or blog) may be requested to appear with your article however the editors or webmaster may opt to remove or add links/advertisements to the page without your consent.

Generally speaking, when your article is selected to appear on Wisepagan.com, it will start at the top of the list and move it's way down until it lands in the archived articles section. Alterations in this process can sometimes happen at no fault of your own and that is ok. Wisepagan.com may choose to place or remove your article in/from any part of the site without warning at our liesure.

Edits to your article may also occur. Although we make our best effort to make sure you are pleased with the appearance and content of your submission, it must be accepted that content can be lightly altered or edited for space/length at our discretion.

Submitting Photos/Artwork

All submissions of Artwork/Photos to Wisepagan.com are done through the Yahoo/Flickr Photo-sharing website for now. Right now, creating a user account on Flickr is free. Flickr.com is NOT affiliated with Wisepagan.com so their own rules and regulations must also be adhered to and WisePagan.com takes no responsibility for their operations or content. When photos or artwork are submitted to Wisepagan.com, a link to your photo page on Flickr is given along with your work should we chose to republish it unless another arrangement is made with the editors.

All artwork submitted to Wisepagan.com should be kept "tasteful and decent"... No work that would be considered by the average person to be a harm to minors or an offense to the eyes will be used.

Submitting Advertisements
Advertising on WisePagan.com is easy, cost efficient and effective. Our viewers just might be your target viewership on the web. Here are our regulations:
Your advertisement must conform to one of three size ratios:

Banner - 7.35w x 1.45h - Inches

Sidebox - 2.65w X 3.35h - Inches

1/2 Sidebox - 2.65 x 1.53h - Inches

Acceptable file formats are .jpg and .gif - but if you have an ad that needs to be resized or you don't know how to accomplish this, we are more than happy to do it for you. We will also create a simple clickable text ad at your request.
Prices (as a donation to Wisepagan.com) are as follows:

Banner - 1 Month - $20

Banner - 3 Months - $60

Sidebox - 1 Month - $15

Sidebox - 3 Months $40

1/2 Sidebox - 1 Month $10

1/2 Sidebox - 3 Months - $25

Exact placement is chosen by WisePagan.com but we will always try to place your ad in the best available spot (or if there is a page you want your ad placed on, it doesn't hurt to request it).
Once you have sent your artwork to wisepagan in an email, we will approve it and send you a PayPal link to accept your donation. When your donation is finalized, your ad will appear on the site within 48 hours.
Note: Wisepagan.com keeps it's advertising affordable because we need your support. We are more than happy to advertise your business, organization or respectable website. However, our moral standards will not allow us to place annoying or "negative political or religious advertising" on our site. That means: No Fear Campaigns, No Offensive or Devisive Language, and No Political Statements Other than what we deem as a "Regular and Benign Call For Support". We reserve the right to reject your advertisement at any time with or without refund if we find the content of your website to be devisive, hateful or intentionally misleading. We do NOT support Spam or Scams.
